Recognizing this, companies like Salesforce, Gong, HubSpot, and long ago published best-selling titles of their own on Amazon. It's a smart play, ensuring that the most dedicated professionals in the industry — the ones who buy and read books — find your content where they're most likely to search for it.
Apollo, despite a global userbase of over 500,000 salespeople, had yet to produce anything like a book worthy of publication. That changed in 2024.
Along with two members of my team, Karli Stone and Xier Dang, I wrote and published a 224 page book on Outbound Sales, full of practical how-go knowledge based on data sourced from Apollo's userbase.
Pulling this together took collaboration with product, engineering, data science, and marketing. The result?
Over 500,000 organic social impressions from the launch, over 20,000 people reading the book on the Apollo Academy website, and the #1 best-seller spot on Amazon for 6 weeks straight.
